Event Highlights
The Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce curates a vibrant calendar of events throughout the year, celebrating the unique heritage and community spirit of Rangely, Colorado. These events offer opportunities for residents and visitors alike to engage with the local culture and enjoy the town's unique offerings.

One of the standout events is the Rangely OHV Adventure Rally (ROAR), held annually in late April. This multi-day event features guided trail rides, night rides, an OHV rodeo, and social gatherings like shrimp boils and dinners, attracting off-road enthusiasts from the region.
Another event, Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch Days stands out as a signature summer festival, first introduced in June 2024 with it's second annual event planned for August 2025. This multi-day event pays homage to the infamous outlaw Butch Cassidy and his gang, who once traversed the region. Highlights from the inaugural celebration included: Etta Place's Box Social, a creative twist on a traditional fundraiser, where participants auctioned snack boxes to support the Rangely Outdoor Museum. Winners received "bail bonds" to avoid a playful stint in the custom Outlaw Jail.
Campfire Tales with Bill Betenson, an evening of storytelling around the campfire, featuring Bill Betenson, nephew of Butch Cassidy and author of Butch Cassidy, My Uncle, sharing captivating tales of his legendary relative. The Tall Texan's Two-Steppin' Street Dance, a lively dance event bringing the community together for music and dancing under the stars. Wild Bunch OHV Poker Run, an adventurous off-highway vehicle ride through the scenic trails surrounding Rangely, combining the thrill of exploration with the fun of a poker game.
The success of the first Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch Days was met with enthusiastic feedback from attendees, with plans already underway to make future iterations even more memorable.
Another cherished tradition is the annual Crab Crack, where community members come together to enjoy an all-you-can-eat crab feast, accompanied by music and raffles and the RACC's yearly awards.
